Some would say that there are too many different musical styles in the collection. That’s right. But the times were musically diverse. and in 20 – 30 years times changed completely. Deep Purple and Bobby McFerrin are worlds apart, I know.
And other might say many iconic albums are missing. That’ right too. This collection is very small.
I had more LPs from the 60s and 70s. Not sure where they went, maybe stolen or lost. Among them where:
The Beatles box, all LPs
Colosseum live
Bob Dylan: Before The Flood
Jimi Hendrix: Are You Experienced / Axis Bold as Love
Jimi Hendrix: Electric Ladyland (with the ladies on the cover)
King Crimson: In The Court Of Krimson King
Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon
Santana: Abraxas
Peter Tosh: Bush Doctor
The Velvet Underground & Nico
I am looking for those and all LPs from the musicians above. If you want to donate one to me, you are very welcome. I can take over shipping costs and can mention your name here, if you want. If you donate a collection, I can make a webpage here for you. Especially I look for Rare Earth: In Concert, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Stones: Sticky Fingers, Beggars Banquet, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Guy, Ry Cooder. No David Bowie, Queen and so on.
Most people might not know the LPs listed here. Without these musicians and the counter culture from 1968 / the flower-power movement times would be very different today I believe.
Anyone familiar with the surprise gig of Madonna in Paris after the 2015 terrorist attacks and what she sang?
In difficult times we recognize the importance of the peace movement.
